Calvary Chapel Orlando
It's been a day of divine appointments. Several times God would change our plans. We willingly submit and later would discover His glorious plan of unexpected lessons. After a morning of work at the Bible College we did an outreach at an all girls Catholic School. We performed the drama and Amber Castor gave her testimony. It was a powerful time of ministry. Through a change of plans, we ended up in a park where Peter and some of the youth decided to pass out tracts and four people were led to the Lord. Our day ended with another devine appointment as our dinner reservation was lost, and we ended up at the home of some of the Bible College staff. It was an evening of sweet fellowship and great food. We are counting our blessings this evening!
Today was a very different experience for the youth. We headed out early and took the local transportation to the Animal Market. Riding in a "combi" was a unique experience. Combi's are small mini-buses that seat around 9, but are never truly full until they've reached 15 or more, oh and a chicken or two. We landed at the Animal Market and hiked upwards toward the selling area, passing a variety of pigs, cows, donkeys, sheep ... and all that goes with them. 😉 There is a small church that meets there, a ministry of Calvary Chapel Catan. We performed our "Clincher" Drama amongst the live stock and many people came near to watch (including a few stray pigs). After 2 performances we toured the youth around and let them take in all the sights. There were baby piglets, bins full of ducklings, giant steers and herds of sheep ... and we can't forget to mention guinea pig. Though they were in the frying pans for lunch! No worries, we ate lunch back at the bible college. 😊 We finished the day with hard work around the campus and an evening of fellowship. The ministry, the sights, the smells ...today was truly an experience the youth will never forget! Update from Peru Team. "Kids are enjoying Youth Group with Calvary Chapel Cajamarca tonight! Church tomorrow at 11am :-)" The team reported via a simple text that they have arrived safe and sound to the Bible College in Cajamarca. Thanks for continued prayers.
