About Pastor Will Ramirez
Will gave his life to Jesus Christ in the summer of 1988. After a short-term mission trip to Haiti radically changed his life in 1990, God called him to be a pastor at the age of 17. While finishing high school and spending two years at UCF, Will served at his church teaching Junior High students, directing worship, and janitorial work. Then, in 1994, Will completed his education by attending Calvary Chapel Bible College in Twin Peaks, Florida.
During those two years, the Lord knit Will’s heart with the Calvary Chapel movement and called him to found and pastor Calvary Chapel Lighthouse in Sanford, Florida. From 1996 to 2014, he faithfully taught verse-by-verse through the Bible and watched God change numerous lives among the people who lived there.
In 2014, the Lord did a new work. At the prompting of the Lord, and the request of Calvary Chapel Orlando’s search committee, Will became the new Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel of Orlando where he presently serves.
“But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
After many years of serving the Lord, Will has learned that knowing Jesus is far more important than anything he’s accomplished for Jesus. In light of this, he’s known for a passionate and transparent teaching style that explains the scriptures in a way that’s understandable and applicable for men and women of all ages. His teachings through the Bible can be accessed through the Messages link at our website.
Will’s greatest desire as a Pastor is to see other people grow into maturity as they apply God’s Word to their lives in order that they might pour those truths into others. To see people walking victorious Christian lives, loving one another, and using their gifts by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Will also enjoys sports, reading, and has written numerous short stories and novels. He is married to his high school sweetheart Beverly and currently lives in Sanford with her, their four children, and an extremely pesky green-cheeked conure.
